Multi-Point Locks

When locked, solid hooks grip firmly into the frame keep rail. Ensuring total protection, the locking points are securely locked into position behind the keep. The door frame and the door leaf are thus interlocked as tightly as possible, increasing resistance to burglary.

Energy Efficiency & Weather Performance

U-Values

Swan Composite Doors offer a minimum U-Value of 1.2 W/m²K or better for solid (unglazed) Swan Composite Doors. A maximum U-Value of 1.8 W/m²K for glazed Doors. These ratings are equivalent to A rated and C rated windows respectively.

Weather Performance

Swan Composite Doors are weather-sealed and approved for extreme weather conditions. They are also suitable for coastal houses. Gaining a severe weather rating of C (severe), Swan Composites are salt-spray tested.

High-Insulation Core

Featuring a patented non-CFC polyurethane core, Swan Composite Doors insulate over 6 times better than timber doors. Resistant to fire, these cores ensure that homes fitted with Swan Composites are warmer than any other.

Weather Seals

Protecting homes against the elements, draught-excluding weather seals ensure the door sits snug into the frame and keeps cold air out. Swan Composites are designed with warmth in mind.

Technical Details

To help you with your decision we have highlighted a few key features below.

PAS 23 & PAS 24 Enhanced Security and General Performance Standards:

  • Secured by Design Licensed – Police Preferred Specification
  • BM Trada Q-Mark – Independent Verification of test standards
  • Tested at an accredited UKAS test centre
  • Full Building Regulation Compliance, including parts M, L, B and E.
  • U-values as low as 0.9 W/m2K based on simulation data.
  • Swan composite doors have dramatically lower whole-life costs than cheaper and less robust doors. They will last around 4 times longer than standard doors and will thus need to replaced less frequently.
  • Product design and manufacturing processes are heavily influenced by Swan’s attainment of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standards.
  • ultra high-density patent foam core reduces materials needed allowing the door to be thinner than competing doors and achieve the same thermal and security performance. Material efficiency in production processes is a commitment at Swan Group. If you can build the same with less, do it. Moreover this saving on costs is passed on to Swan’s customers
  • Weatherseals remove need for unsightly double rebates. Again, less materials can be used to achieve outstanding thermal performance without a needless double rebate. Why have a costly double when you can have an equally efficient single rebate.
  • A more compact and efficient door that achieves outstanding thermal performance. We do more with less.
  • No need to worry about through skins cracking during seasonal changes. White skin layers reflect heat away from the skin.
  • Structural composition is a priority at Swan, not an afterthought. You will find no PVC subtrates in Swan Doors. Inert PVC substrates force the skin to bear the brunt of climatic changes. We find high density timber substrates relieves pressure on the skin to allow for natural material expansion and contraction (maximum 1mm). The skin makes the difference for homeowners. Preserving it’s natural shape is easy with Swan doors.
